Woman Rescues Stray Puppies She Finds in Makeshift Den by River
A woman who made an unexpected discovery near her grandfather’s farm shared her touching rescue story with Dogs are Family:
“I found these little guys by a river. Their mom made a thing that looked like a nest and managed to take them to a place that kept them away from rain and wind.” Sussea is describing the stray puppies she and her family found near her grandfather’s farm.
“The mom was starving and they are as big as they can be. I think we found a hell of a mom!”
“We are leaving food and trying to get them to smell us and to not be afraid of any member of my family that drops something for them. They are close to the farm of my grandfather, so him and my aunts are taking care of them while I can’t,” she said.
So far she has not been able to approach the puppies’ mother. “I don’t have a pic of the mom because she runs away every time we get close to the puppies. She runs away every time we get close, but I notice that she becomes more aggressive when it’s a man. If it’s me or any other woman, it’s ok. But she is sure too fragile to harm us.”
“We are just trying them to grow up healthily with their mom before they go the their new family. And trying hard to protect and feed this mom that has suffered enough!”
Although the rescue of the puppies and their mom is still in progress, Sussea shared the good news she has already found a home for the puppies!
“We are giving them food and keeping eyes on them,” Sussea writes. “They are only three weeks old so we think that it’s better for them to be with their mom for now. We already found a home for this little family!”
